Pink Flamingo Lawn Ornament
In this project, you will make a decorative snowman. This project uses woodworking tools, which makes it more difficult than most of the other projects.

Materials needed:
- Computer paper
- Plywood
- Jigsaw
- Sand paper
- Paint
- Stake

You will need to copy the pattern image at right to a graphics program.

Print the pattern image at what ever size you want to make your snowman. The snowman project image at right is 40 inches tall and 36 inches wide.

Layout your printed pattern on plywood.

Cut out the snowman using a jigsaw or sabre saw.
- Sand the edges of the plywood, as needed.

Paint the snowman as you choose. Start by first applying an all-weather primer to the wood and then use the decorative colors.
- Attach the stake to the back of your snowman using screws, nails, or construction adhesive. Be careful to choose fasteners that will not fully penetrate the snowman.
When the paint is dry, you can put your new snowman figure in your yard.
