Halloween Clown Mask

This project describes how to make a face mask for Halloween similar to the one shown at right.

Materials needed:

• Card stock or computer paper
• Craft knife or scissors
• Crayons, colored pencils, or paint
• String
• Paper or plastic cup

Project Instructions

1. Print either the plain or the pre-colored pattern at right on card stock
2. Color the plain pattern to suit yourself. Also, color the paper cup as you desire.
3. In either case, cut out around the outside edges of the mask; and cut out the mouth, nose, and eyes. (Note: Before cutting the nose hole, be sure it is sized properly for the size paper cup you are using.)
4. Cut 2 pieces of string, each about 15 inches in length.
5. Punch holes at the locations indicated by the small circles.
6. Tie a piece of string to each side of the mask, using the punched holes.
7. Insert and glue a paper cup into the nose hole.
   

You can now put on the mask and fasten it in place by tying the strings together in a bow.
