Materials needed:
- Computer paper
- Scissors
- Glue
Project Instructions
- Print the the 12 toy faces at right on ordinary computer paper. The images are for a color printer. However, they can be printed in shades of gray on a black and white printer. Your cat probably won’t care.
- Cut out each circle.
- Fold the 5 tabs on each face upwards.
- Glue each face to another face. The order in which you do this does not matter. However, it is suggested that you glue 6 faces together to form half of the toy and another 6 faces to form the other half of the toy. You will have two halves as illustrated below.
- Let the glue dry thoroughly, and then glue the two halves together to form the toy as shown above in the project image.
Congratulations! You have just made a cat toy!
You can make additional dodecahedrons using this pattern and change the images to suit yourself or color the circles using crayons or paint. Let your imagination go and make larger or smaller dodecahedrons.
