CAT TOY

This project is rated as: MODERATE
Materials needed: Computer paper, glue

The toy is to be made from 12 separate pieces (one for each face of a dodecahedron) and then assembled with the tabs external to the toy. The resulting toy will look like the one in the illustration below:

Display and print the 12 toy faces on paper.
(Note: The images are for a color printer. However, they can be printed in shades of gray on a black and white printer. Your cat probably wouldn't care.)
(Also note: If you wish to make the toy larger or smaller, you can right click on the images and capture the 12 faces in a file. Then, using a graphics program, you can print the file in any size you want.)

Cut out each circle
Fold the 5 tabs on each face upwards
Glue each face to another face. The order in which you do this does not matter. However, it is suggested that you glue 6 faces together to form half of the toy and another 6 faces to form the other half of the toy. You will have two halves as illustrated below.

Let the glue dry thoroughly, and then glue the two halves together to form the toy as shown above.
